As always, part of being a Wakefield wedding photographer involves a pre-wedding shoot; a chance to get to know the bride and groom and give them an idea of how we will work on the day. It’s also the time I go through all the details and timings for the big day so that I know who is attending, who the bridal party are and where everything will take place. Today, I met up with Matthew and Claire ahead of their wedding in October and we chose to meet at The Hepworth Gallery at Chantry Bridge. I’ve done fashion shoots there in the past but this was my first pre-wedding shoot there and it worked well. The weather was with us and there weren’t too many people around at 10:00am so everything went well for the shoot after which, we went into the gallery’s café for drinks and to go through the details. Claire and Matt are having their reception at The Holmfield Arms in Thornes park in mid October, so hopefully there will be some fabulous autumn colours on the trees there. Here’s a selection of the pre-wedding images that we created today.
