Wakefield dance photographer: Amy came over to the studio for a ballet shoot just before heading back to London where she’s just about to start her second year of university. Although Amy isn’t studying dance at Uni, she’s been a dancer since the age of three so is experienced in ballet. However, this is the first time Amy has danced for the camera and the idea was to capture some of the poise and grace of the ballet moves set against a high key, white background background. I’ve composited a few of the images below along with a portrait I created of Amy using one of my favourite low key set-ups and a 150mm portrait lens. This was very much a practice run and we’re hoping to meet up during the Christmas break for another session.
