Wakefield portfolio photographer: I photographed Sarah around 12months or so ago when she came over to the studio with baby Billy. Originally, Sarah had booked in for a bump shoot but unfortunately, Billy scuppered our plans and it became a newborn shoot instead :¬) Today Sarah was in the studio for a portfolio shoot which we’d chatted about during the last session and, as the sunshine was awesome, we decided to shoot a lot of the images outside in the garden before ending with a boudoir shoot. Here are a few of my favourites from the shoot.

Wedding photographer Wakefield: Alex & Craig

Wedding photographer Wakefield: After leaving Winnie’s party in full swing, I met up with Alex and Craig at Newmillerdam to go through their timings and schedule for their wedding on 21st June at Rogerthorpe Manor. Before sitting down for coffee and beer at the Dam Inn we had a walk along the lakeside for a pre-wedding shoot. The weather was pretty overcast at first but eventually brightened a little towards the end of the shoot but we’d enough images in the can by then. Here is a selection from the shoot and it will not be long before a few from their wedding will be on here. Where is the year going?!

Winnie’s 90th Birthday party

It was Winnie’s 90th birthday today and I was round at her granddaughter’s house to photograph the surprise party that was being thrown for her. With four children of her own, each with children and their children too, Winnie has an amazingly big family; there were 15 great grandchildren there alone! Around 50 family members gathered for the occasion and she was thrilled to bits when she arrived and, being remarkably fit for her age, took it all in her stride. I photographed the arrival and celebrations before afternoon tea was served and then afterwards, captured a few family shots and I finished by creating a few really nice formal portraits of Winnie. Here is a selection from the day. Happy Birthday Winnie.

Yorkshire glamour photographer: Charlene

Sheffield based model Charlene was looking for a Yorkshire glamour photographer who could update her portfolio with some high quality images when she discovered me :¬) After arranging a date and chatting about her ideas, we got together today to do the shoot. Working with an experienced model is always good fun as it means I don’t have to direct quite so much and I can concentrate on lighting and shooting. Charlene was impressed with the studio and the variety of sets available and, fortunately, she’d brought enough outfits to use most of them ;¬) We shot in the white corner, black infinity curve, bedroom, bathroom and spiral stairs to name but a few. I think we have plenty of image for her to choose from to boost her portfolio and she will have a hard time choosing when we get together for viewing and editing :¬)

Bespoke album design

When you book me as your Wakefield wedding photographer, you get not just my expertise as a professional wedding photographer but a complete package from pre-wedding shoot through to bespoke album design. All my wedding albums are hand made in the UK and I do all the photo editing and design and layout of the album by hand. Because I don’t use any proprietary software for the album, each wedding album is unique based up on the photo choice of the wedding couple. I love creating montage pages as well as stunning full page bleeds and the variety give the album interest and impact and will definitely impress all who see them. Generally, I print on metallic paper as standard whereas most photographers charge extra for this service, For me though, the metallic paper adds a richness and depth to my images and just gives the album that wow factor. I am currently designing and creating albums from recent weddings and I thought I’d include a sample here.
