Regular blog followers may find Sue’s face familiar and to put you out of your misery and prevent hours of head scratching, Sue was a bride that I shot earlier in the year when she and Paul were married at Holmfield Arms, Wakefield. When I first met Sue at a wedding fayre I had a sense that she was possibly a goth, though she wasn’t wearing the corsets and long dress at the time, but those of you that know me know that I’ve an eye for the goths and an ear for symphonic gothic metal (as well as death, doom and dark Satanic metal ha ha!). Anyway, my dreams of shooting a goth wedding weren’t realised as Sue turned up to the wedding in a beautiful girly white dress with not an ounce of dark crushed velvet anywhere – just a hint of purple embroidery. So, it was inevitable that I was going to get Sue into the studio or on location in all her gothic finery and today was the day. I would have prefered a location shoot but the weather was grim, so instead we opted for a studio shoot and these are a few of the images we came up with. We will sneak a location shoot in later in the year when Sue finishes her training to be an RAF nurse.
