Wakefield headshots photographer: Emma needed to have a few headshots doing for her application to drama school in London so she dropped by the studio to shoot with me after having a quick chat with me on the phone. The shots had to be straighforward, no make-up or retouching, so that the uni can see her as she really is. I just did a simple light set-up using a single 500w monobloc and large softbox to create the shots and had Emma go through a variety of facial expressions as well as just natural poses. After shooting against a white backdrop, I switched to black to do a few different images including some short lighting using a 300w hot light and a honeycombed deep reflector for a kicker light.
