In the studio today for a glamour photography workshop on a 1-2-1 basis teaching another camera enthusiast the basics of studio lighting for glamour and boudoir. I used Rebecca as the model for the shoot as her uni course allows her to work for me during the week. As always with my lighting demos, I keep everything very simple so that anyone who attends can go away and replicate some of the shots at home with just a single speedlight. I usually just set up a large key light and maybe use a gridded light as a kicker or hair light. In the photo on the right here, I combined a hot light with a studio light to give me that late afternoon sunlight feel but this is slightly more tricky to achieve as the studio lights will overpower tungsten every time if you are not careful.
