Steve & Sarah’s wedding at The Ashes, Staffordshire

Back at The Ashes in Staffordshire today for the first time in a while, this time to shoot with Sarah & Steve. Regular blog followers will remember from the pre-wedding shoot that I had a little bit of trepidation about this gig given the difference in size between the couple – Steve is around 6’4″ while Sarah is around 4’9″. Holy height differences Batman!!  Weather wise it was roughly the same as the last time I was there with threatening skies and a few spots of rain; I was preying for no rain as I knew I wanted to be able to get them sat down briefly so that at they’d appear in the same shot in at least a few pictures ;¬) In the end it all turned out fine and I got some images I’m really pleased with and I hope they will be too. The couple both got ready in the Moat House Hotel in Stoke before heading up to The Ashes at Endon 4 miles away in the wedding cars while the guests all headed up to the venue on a vintage bus. Kudos to the groomsmen for bringing along a box for Sarah to stand on during the ceremony, it saved my bacon :¬) Here is a slideshow for those with a PC, Android or other none Apple device and I’ll add some stills for the unfortunate iPhone users who will probably not be able to see the show.
