Rotherham Golf Club wedding: Scott & Joanne

Well, Scott and Joanne’s was the last wedding of the year and what a wet one! I’ve been very lucky in having almost no really wet weddings this year despite the awful weather but today Mother Nature made up for that! The rain was lashing at the conservatory windows as we did the bridal preps and it hadn’t abated much by the time I caught up with Scott at Rotherham Golf Club but we still managed to nip outside for a few shots of the guys who, I’m guessing some at least, had never swung a golf club before judging by their stances! The rain had eased enough by the end of the ceremony to allow us to get out for a few shots and the large covered stone porch meant that, in the main, only the photographer got wet ;¬) But, Scott and Joanne were willing to join me in the wet conditions and we had 10 minutes with and without brolly to get a few outdoor shots before finishing off inside on the main staircase. It was a shame about the weather as this is the first time I’ve shot at Rotherham Golf Club and during my recce a few days ago (also wet!) I had sussed out some nice spots for the shoot. Let’s hope I’m luckier next time I get to work this golf club!
