Phew! Another absolute scorcher for the second wedding in two days – the heat is taking its toll on me and I barely have the strength left to type this entry! The hot weather, however, made for a great day for Sarah & Ian to get hitched at Rogerthorpe Manor, Badsworth and after the ceremony, their friends and family were able to spend the day relaxing with cold drinks in the Mediterranean weather. Hot days though mean harsh light with people squinting and dark shadowy eye sockets, so we used the lovely open shade of the trees for the group shots before jumping from one shady spot to the next to create some some stunning images of the bride and groom around the grounds. After the meal we headed off to nearby woods and fields for some late afternoon shots with a difference. Sarah was a sport dragging her wedding dress through the brambles to get to the woodland spot I had chosen – its amazing how much easier it was when I scouted the area wearing jeans! Got some images I’m really pleased with and I shot the whole wedding with just one lens– the awesome Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 VRII
