So, Sarah the make-up artist has arrived, the studio is set up, camera primed and we’re ready to shoot a portfolio but hang on! Where’s the client? Just before the kick-off time, we get a call from her saying that her car has broken down! Aargh! So now what? Sarah’s come all the way from Halifax to do the make-up and I was all fired up for a shoot. Only one thing for it – the girl next door! Kat lives adjacent to the studio and Monday’s are her day off, so we go and fetch her and offer her a free make-over and portrait shoot. Looking slightly nervous but seemingly keen, Kat nipped off to get some gear and came back to the studio and Sarah got to work. We got some great images and I’m sure it was a completely different day to what Kat had planned!
