Kim and Steve at Mid-Yorkshire Golf Club, Darrington

The last wedding of the year for me and it was forecast to finish on a wet one but the cold wet weather didn’t spoil the show for me despite it being the only wedding this year that I’ve had to shoot entirely indoors! Kim’s dad is very ill which meant the wedding plans all had to be brought forward so that Bob could attend but, unfortunately, due to his failing health he wasn’t able to be there on the day but I’m sure he will get a flavour of the day from the slideshow here. Re-arranging the wedding at short notice meant everything had to be hastily sorted with military precision but everything went off without a single hitch and the day was a roaring success. Kim prepared for the big day at Wentbridge House Hotel before travelling the short distance to the Mid-Yorkshire Golf Club for the ceremony and wedding breakfast.Because Kim’s dad couldn’t make it, she was given away by her son Christian who did a sterling job and made a great speech. The golf club was a new venue for me to shoot at and the heavy rain meant I had to do everything indoors with the exception of the shots of Steve and the boys who braved the rain along with me. Shooting indoors doesn’t really phase me, as a full time professional, I shoot lots of commissions indoors and so coming up with some creative lighting from a couple of speedlights and some gels is right up my street. I love the warmth of the images of Kim and her daughters getting ready and we shot some elegant bridal stuff inside the golf club, finishing up after the meal with a bit of a fashion style portrait shoot of Kim, Hollie and Alicia. Here are a selection of images from the day and I’ve loads more to go at!  First, a slideshow for the folks free from the limitations of Apple plus a few stills for those who aren’t.
