Jonathan & Adelle at Cold Coniston Hotel

I travelled up to Cold Coniston Hotel, near Skipton today for Jonathan and Adelle’s wedding. The weather was awesome with dark thunder skies, autumn sun and superb light at the end of the day for the lakeside shots – a real change from yesterday’s weather at Oulton Hall.  I met Adelle and her sister Catherine for some bridal prep shots before heading out front with the boys for the groom shots while she was making the final adjustments before getting into her dress. Following the bridal portraits, we headed down to the McCloud bar for the ceremony and then out onto the terrace for drinks and canapes with the spectacular view over Cold Coniston Hall and lake as a backdrop. Despite a few drops of rain from a passing shower cloud, we stayed outside for all the photos. The evening sky was superb as the wedding breakfast ended and we quickly headed down to the lakeside for more photos of Jonathan and Adelle, racing to get the shots done as the sun headed rapidly behind the nearby hills.
