A quick few test shots ahead of Anthony’s portfolio shoot later this month. Here’s a moody, low key shot with a bit of dark post processing for effect.

Bobbi came to the studio looking for fashion and headshots to put forward in her bid to become the face of George (ASDA) and I think we got some images that’ll give her a real head start :¬)
Sun, warmth and some dark skies to boot – fabulous conditions to shoot a wedding. What a day! The warm autumn sunshine made a welcome change and it felt positively spring like throughout the day. Louise and Andrew’s service was held at St Barnabus’ Church, Liversedge followed by a reception at Gomersall Park Hotel, Birstall. The grounds were very, very wet from all the recent rains which, in a way was good as it kept us away from the fallen beech trees that everyone else uses and made me work harder to pull out some different images from other locations within the grounds. We had a great day and captured some fabulous images. Here is some of the wedding photography done on the day to give the bride and groom a few for a sneaky peak.
David and Sadie squeeze into this blog entry on the last day of the month with a few images from their wedding at the fabulous Holdsworth House Hotel, Halifax. The weather forecast was dreadful but the rain clouds never appeared until about five minutes before the end of the first set of photos prior to the wedding breakfast. As we headed indoors, the heavens opened and the rain fell for most of the remainder of the day. This location, however, provided us with lots of opportunities to shoot indoors in some of the wonderful Jacobean rooms, complete with dark panelling and stone mullioned windows, before finishing off with some dusk shots in front of the house in the pouring rain. At least, the photographer was standing in the pouring rain! A perfect setting for a wedding, here are just a few images from the day.

I often make a point of photographing bridal bouquets as part of the standard wedding day images, but today I was photographing a whole shop load for the new look website of Michelle’s Flowers of Pontefract. Here’s a few images to give just a hint of the stunning array of colour and variety available in the shop. I also took the opportunity of shooting a few quick headshots of some of the girls behind all this fabulous work. Rude not to, really!
Tim and Fiona came by the studio tonight for a portrait shoot. Their brief was something arty and sensual so I did some low key lighting on a black background with the idea of producing some really nice mono prints. Unfortunately, you wont get to see the arty stuff, but here are a few of the warm up portraits in the early part of the evening.
