Taking a break from the rigours of wedding album production to welcome on board new clients Toyota Industries. Toyota have commissioned me to shoot some products for their fork lift truck brochures and spare parts manuals. One of the things I like about my job is the different challenges that it throws up – every shoot can be something completely different from the last one and oil filters are no exception :¬)
Been busy sorting out wedding albums in time for Christmas so not done a great deal else this week. The hard work is not over after the twelve hours or so shooting a wedding, there’s all the aftermath too – generating web galleries and designing storybook albums. Although some of the album companies provide a layout service, I do enjoy doing this myself as I have complete control over the final product. Here’s a sample page from an A3 storybook album of Donna & Simon at Bagden Hall, Scissett.

My kids’ efforts with the pumpkins :¬) That’s all for October but back tomorrow with a November blog and a winter wedding. Here’s hoping the weather is as good as it has been and that the bride forgoes the wedding thong for some thermal underwear :¬o
Just got back from 4 days in Shropshire and Worcestershire shooting landscapes for the book commission I’m working on. Regular readers will know that I’ve been invited to photograph some landscape images for a forthcoming book by the Ramblers’ Association and this week I was in a stunning part of the country capturing images in rain, snow, sun and frost and that was all on one day! Here’s a few images from the trip.
Peter and Jenny got married at St William’s College York, a fabulous wedding photo venue, but the lateness of the service meant we were always going to be racing against the fading light. However, I was determined to get a few shots using this beautiful medieval building as a backdrop and also to use the nearby spectacular Minster. Here’s hoping I get another gig there but this time in daylight :¬o

Luci was back in the studio for some more shots for her modelling portfolio.This time we concentrated mostly on white background images but we also did some tasteful glamour on black backgrounds.
