Welcome to clients Imtech G&H Ltd who have just commissioned this image of Clarence Docks in Leeds to be displayed as a 60×40 acryllic in the entrance lobby of their head office in Nottingham. Imtech were the electrical contractors on this impressive development. I look forward to future relations with this prestigious company.
Rachael came round to the studio this morning for a baby bump shoot. Being due in 6 weeks meant the tummy was nicely rounded and a perfect size for the session! I went for low key lighting for a change, using accent lights to define the shape and curves of Rachael.

Stuart and Julie were married at All Saint’s Church, Crofton before travelling on to Hatfield Hall at Normanton Golf Club, Stanley near Wakefield for their reception. Despite an unfavourable weather forecast we managed to scrape by with only a few spots of rain but a very stiff, cool breeze rattled us around constantly during the photo shoot! In the early evening, however, the skies cleared and we had some glorious autumn sunshine to round off the day and this enabled us to get back into the grounds for a few more shots before the evening guests arrived.
I took the opportunity of a wedding-free bank holiday to go for a break to Belgium and south Holland for 8 days with the family. The weather was superb with only a few light showers during two mornings, the rest of the time was sunny and warm – a far cry from what I’ve returned home to. Two days ago we were on the beach in temperatures of around 30 degrees!! It looks like it could be a wet ‘n’ wild one at tomorrow’s wedding :¬\
I didn’t do as much landscape photography as I would’ve liked, but here are a few postcard shots to give you a flavour of the trip. I didn’t do as much drinking of Belgium beers as I would’ve liked either, the prices are astronomical! In the picturesque village of Damme, I was charged £16 for two coffees and two milk shakes! Outrageous!
John & Sheila had glorious weather for their wedding at the Cedar Court Hotel, Wakefield today, with hot August sunshine and clear blue skies – a wedding photographer’s nightmare ;¬) Shooting small weddings like this are always a pleasure as everyone seems to be included and there’s plenty of time to shoot. We did all the images at the venue as, despite my pleading with Sheila to shoot against some wonderfully derelict sheds I’d scouted, she declined my offer :¬o However, we still got some great images which captured the day wonderfully!
Kerry and Craig chose Burntwood Court Hotel at Brierley for their wedding and the weather held all day though we were blown about by a strong, cool breeze. Both Kerry & Craig are hearing impaired but, despite that, we managed to sign away to each other to get the photos and got on like a house on fire! Here’s a few shots from their big day.
