Dawn Guibert (pronounced Gee-bare) brought along some of her latest amazing hat designs for me to shoot for her website and catalog and also for use at an upcoming trade fashion show in Birmingham later this month. Along with Dawn was trainee milliner Louisa who also doubled as model for the bridal wear hats and we also used Lystra, a striking model from Birmingham, and our very own Kim whom I discovered on a social website a couple of weeks ago :¬) Make-up and hair was done by my good friend Lyndsey Ward who is awesome and you should definitely be using her on your wedding day :¬) We shot all the hats against a soft grey background which I think really makes these amazing hand-made and totally unique pieces stand out. Its always difficult as a photographer when shooting clothing items like this to remain focused on shooting the product rather than the model, especially when I had such a diverse set of beauties to go at, but I did my best :¬) The shots at the end of the blog are of the lady herself along with equally talented Louisa and between them they were responsible for everything you see here – I take my hat off to you creative types ;¬)    Lots more to come but I’m leaving for Estonia straight after the shoot so edits are sparse till I get back.
