Wild boar in Bavaria

Just got back from a 4 day trip photographing wild boar in Bavaria. Wildlife has always been my main interest and is what got me into photography in the first place all those years ago. Although I don’t do as much as I used to, I like to keep my hand in still and I had a great time in the splendid forests of south-eastern Germany with three good friends capturing images of these fabulous animals. Wild boar are really very common in Germany, even moving into the suburbs nowadays, but they are very shy and elusive animals and you have to have patience to capture them properly. We were also very fortunate to come across a Ural owl which is a really hard to get species outside of Scandinavia! Anyway, enough of the wildlife – its back to business as usual with a winter wedding at Allerton Park tomorrow. Let’s hope the weather improves :¬\
