Wedding photographer Nostell: Melissa & Ian

It’s only a couple of weeks to go now before Ian and Melissa marry at Wragby church followed by a reception at  Nostell Priory so today, I caught up with them for a pre-wedding meeting at Conisborough Castle. As always at the pre-wedding meetings, we do a bit of an engagement shoot as well as go through the details of the big day. The shoots are designed to create a bit of a ‘get to know you’ session so that on the wedding day, we are all comfortable with each other which makes the photography flow :¬) However, the forecast of drizzle and strong winds for once was accurate and on the exposed hill top battlements above Melissa and Ian’s home town of Conisborough, we took a battering  from the elements. Heading into the famous Norman keep was no better because the weather must have been the same in the 11thC as they hardly put a window in the keep and we needed night vision equipment to shoot in there! From the top of the high tower the views were spectacular but the wind was even stronger and Melissa’s lovely summer dress was no match for that! ;¬)  Here’s a few images from the shoot and I am hoping for better conditions on their big day.
