Wakefield wedding Photographer: Kings Croft wedding

Kings Croft Wedding Photographer: Matthew and Kerry

Matthew and Kerry have me booked as their Wakefield wedding photographer for their Kings Croft wedding in July. Recently, we’d arranged to meet at Newmillerdam for the pre-wedding shoot and chat and it turned out we picked one of the few good days in May! The late afternoon spring sunshine at Newmillerdam was ideal for the shoot though the dappled light under the trees is always a problem if not handled well. The big old beech trees make a great backdrop but the Rhododendron, that would have been in full flower just now, have all been removed by the park rangers for ecological reasons. I first met Matthew and Kerry a few years ago when I did the wedding photography at Matthew’s sister’s wedding over in Bradford at the Ramada Hotel so it will be great to shoot a new wedding but also catch up with old wedding friends. Let’s hope May saw the last of the bad weather and June and July are scorchers!
