Hanson Bricks of London have again kindly commissioned me to shoot one of their major projects that they are looking to enter into the national building awards competition. I’ve had it on the back burner for a few days waiting for a break in the weather which didn’t seem to be on the cards. However, I ignored the BBC forecast and used my own meteorological skills to chance that the storm clouds would part and a bit of gorgeous evening light would fall on York this evening. Architecture photography is a challenge I always enjoy, it’s all about looking for angles and images that will show the character of the building be it new or old. So, after wolfing down tea, I set off for to York University heading for the new Langwith Campus. The sun was out as I arrived but quickly disappeared as I began shooting the images but then, just as I thought it was all over, the sky went black and the sun came out – gorgeous light to shoot in :¬)
