Nostell Priory Wedding Photographer: Stephanie and Josh
I was originally booked as Stephanie and Josh’s Nostell Priory wedding photographer for their wedding on August 14th but due to an unexpected bundle of joy in the form of Miles, the wedding had to be postponed until today. Fortunately I was still free for the shoot and I am glad I was as we had a fabulous day despite the ominous weather forecast. I kind of guessed it would be a wet wedding given that the day they came round to see me it was utterly torrential rain then, on 14th August, their original wedding date, the same again! As we arrived at Steph’s for the bridal preps the dark skies began to grow and then rain! However, by the time we met up with Josh and the boys at Nostell around midday, the rain had stopped and it pretty much stayed away all afternoon. Despite the ground being wet, Steph was determined to have some photos and not bother about the dress which is always a good thing for a wedding photographer – there’s nothing worse than when a bride won’t get the dress dirty! Steph’s determination paid dividends and we got some lovely images in the overcast light.
Unbelievably, and very typically, the sun was shining beautifully as the entered they riding school for the wedding breakfast. No matter, we’d already got some great images in the bag but there was just enough time to shoot the bridesmaids and groomsmen with partners in the gorgeous autumn sunlight. Here are just a few images from the day to give a taster of the celebrations. We lacked a few photos of Miles who slept through most of the afternoon but surfaced just in time to give us a couple of very smiley shots before the food arrived on the table :¬)
