Natasha’s boudoir shoot

Well, I had a great shoot today with a lovely lady in a superb location! Natasha booked me for her boudoir shoot but rather than the studio, we were to use her house for the session. I love the demands of a location shoot – it really gets the creative juices flowing deciding how best to use the place and, more importantly, how best to light it. I enjoy the challenge of lighting as much as the photography in many ways and a concious decision about lighting is usually the first thought in my process of creating an image.  Although I did take the studio lights with me just in case, I ended up (as ever!) using the small Nikon speedlights for the whole of the shoot: on low power, off camera and in manual mode, these guys just deliver consitent output pop after pop! We started in the dining room where I used a blend of ambient feathered with a single flash to create some gorgeous fashion images before moving outside to shoot in furs and then on to  Natasha’s awesome boudoir dressing room where we shot some really nice lingerie images. Natasha has kindly allowed me to post a few here so that you can see just how well we did.

To book me for your boudoir shoot, call the studio on 01924 229800 or visit the website for details.
