Helen’s quick portrait

Helen came over to the studio today to discuss the options for a celebrate the dress shoot and after we’d had a chat about that and decided on what style of shoot we’d do, I took the opportunity of a couple of quick portraits by natural light from the studio windows. The frosted glass is just a bit too diffuse for my taste, unless there’s a lot of daylight, but with leaden skies like we had to day, not enough gets through. Here are a couple of the results: I used a very shallow depth of field to cope with the low light and also to emphasise the eyes. I’m looking forward to the celebrate the dress shoot later this month.
