Kirklees Active Leisure booked me as their West Yorkshire event photographer to cover their annual awards and dinner at the John Smith’s Stadium in Huddersfield. The evening was to present the annual awards to the staff of Kirklees Active Leisure centres from all across the region so there was a good attendance with around 230 staff at the dinner. My brief was to capture shots of the guests arriving and socialising  and then, following the dinner, the awards presentation. The latter part gave me some real problems as a photographer due to the large white projector screen on the stage behind the award winners and presenters and also the size of the very large dark room.
