Claire & Craig at Kings Croft Hotel, Pontefract

Claire and Craig’s big day seems to have come round fast but what a day! The grey skies of the morning soon gave way to deep blue and the sun shone brightly as we arrived at Kings Croft for the reception. The couple were married at St Mary’s church Garforth, just a stones throw from Claire’s family home before heading south to Pontefract for the big party. Although Craig (the groom) is 25 and Shaun (his bro) is 22, I got the distinct feeling I was shooting a school prom rather than a wedding as we did the groom and ushers before the service ;¬) After the service we used the well kept churchyard for some bride and groom shots and then on to the reception where we did the formals, the bridal party and a few more of the bride and groom before the wedding breakfast. Later in the evening we hit the grounds again for some more shots as the sun began to mellow and the light levels dropped and we finished the evening with the first dance. I really enjoyed myself in Claire and Craig’s company and it was such a pleasure to work with these guys and their very welcoming families. A great day all round!
