Railway at war – wartime weekend at Pickering

Every year the town of Pickering in North Yorkshire turns back the clock to October 1943 and has a commemorative war weekend when the whole town dresses up in 1940s clothes. Sonya in the studio

Sonya came down to the studio this evening for a portfolio shoot and was a natural! Incredibly, this was her first time posing for the camera apart from while out clubbing with her mates! Sonya’s recovering from a serious illness, so the portfolio shoot was aimed at giving her a much needed lift and I’m sure we did that...

I took the opportunity of a wedding-free bank holiday to go for a break to Belgium and south Holland for 8 days with the family. The weather was superb with only a few light showers during two mornings, the rest of the time was sunny and warm – a far cry from what I’ve returned home...
