Ben & Dannii: couples shoot

Ben and Dannii came by the studio today to confirm me as their wedding photographer for their big day next April and also to have a fun and glamorous couples shoot, kind of in the style of the Calvin Klein ads. I decided to go with a darkish grey background for the majority of the shoot but to also use a white wall for some different shots. I’ve photographed Dannii before and also used her as a model on some of my lighting workshops but, although I’ve met Ben before, this was the first time I’d photographed him and the first time he’s been in front of a camera. I think, however, if he chose to change his career path, modelling would be a good option for him  :¬) I used a three light set-up but the main light was the incredible Bowens Octa 90 which has such a soft and even light distribution; it’s really awesome.
