Bagden hall wedding: Donna & James

Not often I shoot a Monday wedding but today I was back with Donna & James for their big day at Bagden Hall. The weather was just perfect with a bit of autumn sunshine for much of the day, just clouding up towards the end of the afternoon but nothing to spoil the day. Donna has a beauty salon in Walton adjoining the Visions hair salon and that’s where we caught up with her and the bridesmaids for the prep shots – very handy when all your friends and colleagues are beauticians and hair stylists! The salon gave me some unusual locations to work with for the bridal shots once Donna and the girls were ready and I used a couple of speed lights and salon leaflets or some MacGyver style strobist lighting :¬) With Donna’s mum breaking her leg just before the wedding and one of the bridesmaids, Janine, falling downstairs and splitting her chin open just before the wedding, I was kind of panicking about what would go wrong next. However, the worst thing that happened was the registrar forgetting about the reading by Nicola! At least no-one else got hurt, though I came close to having a punch-up with the local farmer but that’s a different story :¬o Here are just a few as we are having a grand showing at the after wedding shin dig on Friday when the majority of Donna and James’ friends will be present.
