April 19th - Model portfolio shoot

Going through a few more from Leanne's folio shoot and as promised another image. Here's one of her modelling her polka dot bikini, not particularly 'itsy, bitsy, teeny weeny' nor yellow but still very nice! Portfolio shoots are getting really popular and a great way of looking back on your youth when you're old and grey or your body shape has 'altered' from delivering three kids :¬) Call me anytime on 01924 229800 to arrange a shoot.

April 18th - Black Grouse in Scotland

Birthday boy today, no rest though! Spent the day slaving over a hot keyboard editing images from the Scottish trip which will hopefully be used by a very large firm! Now that would be a great a present if it comes off :¬) You can see from the image that it was very cold up on those Scottish mountain sides, especially as we entered the hides at 4:00am! However, the light and conditions were a dream and I couldn't wished for better. Here's a trio of black grouse on their display ground or lek as it's known. Back to black grouse whiskey story

April 17th - Toni & Martin pre-wedding shoot

Met up with Martin and Toni at Harewood to plan for their up coming wedding in May at Harewood House. I used to work with Martin before I gave up the day job and went full time as a 'tog'. Looking at the car he was in and the venue he's paying for, I'm wondering if I did the right thing :¬\

I'm really looking forward to shooting this one, not only because it's for a friend, but because the grounds and location look awesome and should allow for some very creative shots. Took my camera along and rattled off a few quick snaps of them in the dark recesses of an outbuilding at the Harewood Arms, the only place that was handy and out of the torrential rain and cold wet evening!

April 10th - Portfolio shoot with Leanne

Leanne came back to get some studio images for her portfolio. Here's a simple headshot lit with a beauty dish for soft light and really nice shadow edge transition. A simple but really classic portrait. I'll whack up a few more as and when I get round to editing, but in the meantime I'm off to Scotland on a shoot for a few days.

March 31st - Model shoot on location

Last day of March already but just time to squeeze in a fashion shoot on location in an old gothic ruin in North Yorkshire. Leanne was the model for the day and put on a brave face and managed to control the shivering during the shooting at least! Although it was warm and spring-like outside, there was a chill wind blowing through the ruins and it's taken all my photoshop skills to smooth the goose bumps from her skin :¬)

March 24th - Richard & Flis at Waterton Park hotel

After the wild weather of the weekend I was thinking that Richard and Flis's wedding at Waterton Park was going to be a real 'white wedding'! However, the snow had gone and the skies cleared to give us a great day, albeit very cold. Still, a great day was had by all.

March 23rd _ snow on the ground!

Woke up to snow covering the ground and good light! Off to the Dales straight away to shoot some landscapes and wildlife. Had a great day and did some images that I am very pleased with, particularly the grouse in the snow.
